The Indian stock market will remain closed on accounts of Ram Navami on Wednesday April 17, 224 This closure will encompass both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has confirmed that various segments, including equity, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and Interest Rate derivatives, will remain closed on Wednesday April 17.

However, the Commodity Derivative Segment of the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) will undergo a partial closure, with trading suspended only for the morning session. Trading will resume in the evening from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm.

In May 2024, the stock market will remain closed for two days. The first holiday, on May 1, is on account of Maharashtra Day celebration, and another holiday has been announced for May 20, coinciding with the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections 2024.
